European vehicles take longer to diagnose properly, so a BMW check engine light or drivability diagnostic is $200, credited toward the repair if we do the work. You get the findings with photos and an estimate before anything is replaced. Warning lights for the charging system, the cooling system or the brake wear sensors are all diagnosed the same way.
BMW service and repairs we handle
Oil service uses the oil spec your engine calls for; most BMW engines take more than 5 quarts and a specialty filter, so the $119 full synthetic oil change is priced accordingly and we tell you the number before we start. Brakes start with a $75 inspection, credited toward the repair, and we replace the wear sensors with the pads. Many BMW cooling systems use plastic expansion tanks and hoses that can become brittle with age; we handle cooling leaks and overheating, A/C, batteries, starters and alternators, and transmission service. We supply the parts we install and list them on the estimate.
BMW smog checks
A gasoline BMW takes the standard smog check, $58 with the certificate, walk in Monday through Saturday. Turbocharged and direct-injection engines are tested the same way; if the check engine light is on the car will not pass, and if we do the repair the re-test is free. See the smog check page.

Do you replace BMW brake wear sensors?
Yes. When the pads are replaced the wear sensor is replaced with them and the service indicator is reset.

Yes, the spec your engine calls for. The $119 full synthetic oil change covers up to 5 quarts and the filter; most BMWs take more, so we quote the difference before we start.
