Smog Technician Jobs in Sacramento

SmogMart is seeking experienced, licensed Smog Technicians to join our growing team in Sacramento. As a STAR certified station, we're looking for detail-oriented professionals who can perform accurate emissions testing while providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and efficient smog inspections on all vehicle types
• Operate BAR-OIS equipment and maintain testing equipment
• Explain test results to customers in a clear, professional manner
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for all tests
• Diagnose emissions-related issues and recommend appropriate repairs
• Stay current with BAR regulations and testing procedures
• Assist with other automotive services as needed

Qualifications

• Valid California Smog Check Inspector License (required)
• 2+ years of experience performing smog checks
• Experience with BAR-OIS equipment and procedures
• Knowledge of California emissions regulations
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent customer service skills
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• ASE certification a plus
